After that, every photo you click is automatically sent to your PicsDrop event gallery — no manual steps needed.

PicsDrop FTP works with any camera that supports FTP transfer over WiFi — including Canon EOS R series, Nikon Z series, Sony Alpha mirrorless, and Fujifilm X series cameras. If your camera has built-in FTP functionality, it works with PicsDrop.

Yes, the camera and PicsDrop FTP server need to be connected via a local WiFi network or a mobile hotspot. Most photographers use a dedicated WiFi router or their phone's hotspot at the venue for a reliable connection.

PicsDrop FTP supports JPEG transfers. Since the event gallery is for guest sharing, we recommend configuring your camera to output JPEG alongside RAW. The JPEG goes to PicsDrop automatically while your RAW files stay on the SD card for editing.

Yes. PicsDrop uses FTPS (FTP Secure) with encrypted credentials for all transfers. Your photos are transmitted securely and land directly in your private event gallery — not accessible to anyone without the event link or QR code.
